Hello there Everyone, 😊 👋 allow me to introduce myself, My name is Savanah Autman aka JerseyGal94; it is very nice to meet each of you on here and I hope we will be great friends and acquaintances on here as well. This is my very first time in writing a story on here so I hope it will be to the best of my ability.

Now, I'm pretty sure that you all might be familiar with the King Of Pop whom has moonwalked into our hearts regardless of what age we became good fans or en supporters of Michael Jackson, you heard right, THE Michael Jackson himself. Around 10+ years ago, I did a little short story on a website known as MJFICTION.com which is known for its outstanding fanfiction of the man himself in different genres. I posted one entitled ~*Why?~* the reason why I have such a name for a short fic is due to the fact that tragically, Mike left this world 16 years ago, and I could just imagine how distraught his children must have felt especially Paris who to me, in my opinion, was more of a Daddy's girl.

Anyway, here comes the short story, and please, get some Kleenex tissues because you're going to be on for a somewhat depressing ride. Let me know what you all will think of it. Thanks again for allowing me to be on your site!

Summary: A short story about a father's premature death, but it more affects the 2nd born. Told in Paris' POV.

Kumiko and Alena are two orphans living through a gruelling war. There is grinding poverty, constant bombings, and looming soldiers. Kumiko wants to keep his younger sister safe from the war around them. But will he sacrifice his sister's heart in order to do so?

The Second Coalition War (80-98 EH) was fought 265 years after the conclusion of the First Coalition War.

Due to the the unification of Upper Empyrea into the Umbracresti-Estrinite-Glacian-Narcissian Archregion (UEGNA) under Archcountess-Khatun Vega Calliope Ego by marriage, inheritance and alliances, the other regions dissolved UEGNA seats on CEDA and formed the Cerulean-Vorantine-Aqulio-Pheasantine Union (CVAPU) in response.

After Vega abdicated in 78 EH, her twenty year son is crowned Archcount-Khagan Urlic IV & I Ego-Estrin-Romanakov of Umbracrest, Estrin, Glacier and Narciss. Urlic is more aggressive than his mother and the other regions declare war on the Archregion....

The sky was dark, thick with clouds that churned like a brewing storm. The air was heavy, charged with an unseen force that made the very earth tremble. In the distance, the sound of metal clashing together echoed through the mountains, a violent symphony of war playing out across the battlefield.

Flames licked at the edges of the vast forest, turning the once-proud trees into skeletal remains. Smoke curled into the sky, choking the air with the scent of blood and ash. The war raged on, soldiers clashing, spells igniting the land, and battle cries mixing with the screams of the fallen.

Yet amidst the chaos, two warriors stood apart from it all.

One wielded a katana, its edge gleaming with an ethereal glow. His stance was poised, precise—his blue eyes cutting through the smoke, filled with a steely determination. Opposing him, a titan of a man gripped a bardiche, its crimson-streaked blade resting against his shoulder. His red eyes burned with fury, the weight of his convictions pressing down like an unshakable force.

For a fleeting moment, silence settled between them, the world itself seeming to hold its breath.

The warrior with the katana stepped forward, his voice carrying both sorrow and conviction. “We could’ve built the future together…”

The man with the bardiche exhaled sharply, his grip tightening. “In the past, I would’ve agreed with you… but now? I don’t think so.” His voice was rough, edged with finality—a severed bond that could never be mended.

No more words.

Only action.

They lunged.

In a flash, their weapons collided in a burst of light and shadow, the force of their clash sending a shockwave rippling through the battlefield. The impact split the ground beneath them, embers swirling in the air like dying stars. Sparks erupted as steel met steel, their strikes relentless—each one carrying the weight of history, of brotherhood, of betrayal.

They moved with inhuman speed, blades singing through the air in a deadly dance. The katana slashed forward in a streak of lightning, the bardiche countering with a crushing force that cracked the stone beneath them. Their battle raged like a storm, an unrelenting clash of thunder and fire, neither willing to yield.

They fought not as mere men, but as forces of nature, warriors whose duel would decide the fate of the world itself.
